  • Always respect speed limits and other traffic signals. The speed limits are in kilometers per hour, usually 60 km/h in cities and 100km/h on main highways.
  • In cities it is common to see pedestrians crossing the street in different places. Pay special attention to pedestrian crossings and be prepared to brake at any time.
  • In rural areas, it is possible to encounter animals that are lose on the road, such as goats, sheep, and camels.
  • Moroccan drivers can have a unique driving style. Be patient and flexible, and keep calm in chaotic traffic situations.
  • The use of light signals in Morocco can be different to those you are used to. Often, drivers use lights to communicate among themselves, such as warning about the presence of the police or checkpoints.
  • Make sure to have local cash or an accepted credit card to pay the tolls.
