  •   Additional Drivers

    Allowed. Is EUR 20,00 per driver. Additional drivers must meet the same requirements as the primary driver. Maximum 2 additional drivers allowed per rental agreement (total: 3 – 1 (usual) plus 2 additional).

  •   Age

    Maximum age is 80 years (or 75 in a top car class). Minimum age is 25 years old. There's the possibility, and depending on car group, to reduce to 20 (mini/economy) or 23 (intermediate/superior cars) for a fee of 20,00 EUR ($22,33). Beside the above age requirements, driver has to be in possession of his own valid driving license for at least 1 year.

  •   Business Hours

    Location is open from 08.00 to 19:59 Monday to Sunday. Out of hours service is possible (20:00-7:59). An additional charge of EUR 30,00 will be applied to any vehicles collected after office hours. This is the price for Pick-Up. The same (added) price is also for Drop-Off if customer wants us to be there after/before opening/closing hours. After hour fee is the same for all locations. An out of hours charge all day long is also applied in: National holidays Fixed days – Jan 1, Apr 25, May 1, Jun 10, Aug 15, Oct 5, Nov 1, Dec 1, Dec 8, Dec 25. Movable days – Carnival (tend to be on Feb), Good Friday, Easter Day (both tend to be on Apr), Corpus Christi (tend to be on June). Municipal holidaysJun 13, Lisbon-Airport,Jun 24 Porto-Airport. Also in the airports, on the 24 and 31 December, all day long is applied an out of hours charge.

  •   Cancellation

    Cancellations must be made by customer in the same place where the booking was made (website or other source/channel). It is a compulsory procedure that needs due registration (it is not possible direct cancellations on the location). Otherwise the booking will then be considered as No Show and subject to a charge in the amount of one day of the requested car rental. For the cancellation to be free must be done up to 24 hours before the start of the rental. If less than 24h is subject to a charge in the amount of one day of the requested car rental.

  •   CDW

    The vehicle is insured in accordance with the legal provisions of the country - third party liability. CDW Collision Damage Waiver includes covered and non-negligent damage to the vehicle in case of an accident/collision, with the lessee required to pay a variable charge depending on the type of vehicle. There are also the following options: PAI - Personal Accident Insurance (waiver) – EUR 4,75 ($5.30) per day. WDW - Windows Damage Waiver – EUR 2,00 ($2.23) per day. ACDW – Supplemental CDW Coverage: Locks and tires are fully safeguarded (unless grossly negligence). Small dents and scratches (including rims as long as they are not damaged) are covered up to the reduced deductible. SLDW – Collision Damage (CDW) and Loss (Theft - TW) coverage with super deductible reduction. Non-negligent CDW covered damages are only charged up to the reduced deductible amount. Requires minimum rentals of four days. LC LARGE COVER - it is an additional protection (SLDW + ACDW + WDW) that exempts customer from payment of the required deductible (as long as the general rental terms and conditions described in the contract are not violated, excludes extras). Requires minimum rentals of four days. (ACDW, SLDW and LC varies accordingly to car class – daily rates can be consulted and subscribed at car pick up).

  •   Debit Cards

  •   Emergency Info

    In case of Accident: In case of an accident, the lessee is obliged to do the following: a) To participate to the lessor any accident, theft, robbery or any other claims, within 24 hours; b) To call immediately the authorities in case of an accident involving third parties or if the vehicle is unable to move; c) Obtain the names and the addresses of the people involved and any witnesses; d) Do not abandon the vehicle without taking the appropriate action for the protection and safeguarding thereof; e) Do not take any responsibility for the lessor; f) Immediately contact the rental agency providing it with a detailed report of the accident, including an official police report of the accident. In the event of vandalism, theft or robbery of the vehicle, documentary evidence of the complaint to the police is essential, plus having the official stamp of the police and the delivery of the key of the vehicle. In case of Breakdown: 24/7 Roadside Assistance is available for customer. A call center will receive his phone call and will be immediately focusing on trying to help him in the best way. Client should establish contact with the 24/7 Roadside Assistance Company. Telephone contact can be found in the Insurance Certificate, together with all other mandatory documentation kept in the car.

  •   Equipment

    SADORENT has the following optional equipment upon request: GPS navigator – EUR 8,00 per day up to a maximum of 100,00 EUR per unit. Baby safety seat 0–12 months (0-13 kg, 0-29 lb) – EUR 6,50 per day up to a maximum of 70,00 EUR per unit. Toddler safety seat 1–3 years (9-18 kg, 20-40 lb) – EUR 5,00 per day up to a maximum of 60,00 EUR per unit. Child safety seat 4–7 years (15-30 kg, 33-66 lb) – EUR 5,00 per day up to a maximum of 60,00 EUR per unit. Child booster seat 8–12 years – EUR 3,50 per day up to a maximum of 40,00 EUR per unit. eToll appliance - EUR 1,85 per day up to a maximum of 18,45 EUR per rental and month. Internet Wi-Fi device - EUR 6,15 per day. The optional extras are subject to availability upon arrival and should be requested with car booking. Please note that:It is the law that children and babies be seated in baby seats or booster seats.

  •   Gas

    Same to same: vehicles are usually hired out with few fuel (at least +/-1/4 of the tank) and expected to be brought back as hired. No refunds will be given for unused fuel.

  •   Geographic

    Cross Border Rentals can be allowed for the following countries: Spain (need a pre-authorization – should be compulsory requested when car is booked – and need to be mentioned on the rental agreement). Cross Border fee: 73,80 EUR ($82,40) includes CDW and 24h Road Assistance outside Portugal territory.

  •   Local Renters

    Local renters are those who do not bring proof of return flight

  •   One-Way

    Domestic one-way may be allowed with previous request (needs consultation). The amounts are variable depending for example on car stations and availabilities. For instance,one-way SADORENT Porto-Airport to SADORENT Lisbon-Airport costs €100 and vice-versa ($111,65).

  •   Payment

    We accept all major credit and debit cards. Security deposit: The deposit starts in a minimum of EUR 800,00 ($893.18) (car group A) to maximum of EUR 4.500,00 ($5.024,12) (NNL group) and is the same value than the deductible (insurance liability). The amount is correlated to car rate. When renting a car, it will be required customer to make the deposit using a credit card. This compulsory security deposit intends to cover the deductible, which usually constitutes maximum liability in the event of happening covered and non-negligent car damage or analogous (e.g. loss of documents) during the hiring period.It will be held in your card at the time of the rental, once the vehicle is returned this deposit will be released if all are OK. Customer will be required to pay for any damage, including tire and windscreen, occurring to the rental vehicle up to the deductible amount (if it is non negligent damage). There are some extras (ex. WDW, ACDW, SLDW, LC) to add further coverage and reduce insurance deductible. Payment methods(for rental itself – excludes security deposit) are credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners club, Discover, JCB, Visa Electron); debit cards allowed (Multibanco, Visa Electron, Maestro); cash can be allowed. Cash deposits, Travelers Checks, Unbossed Credit or Debit cards will be subject to verification at the moment of rental. We are not responsible for banking charges that you may incur when using your card.

  •   Prepaid Debit Cards

    It is acceptable for customers to make a prepaid reservation and process payment of reservation using a prepaid Debit Card. Please note that a credit card guarantee/deposit is required to approve the rental. The credit card must be in the renter name and must be used in person at rental time. Prepaid Debit Cards are not acceptable for leaving adeposit or to use with the subscription of the Electronic Toll DeviceService. Customers who do not have a credit card may be denied rental.

  •   Rules

    Specially for out of hours bookings, customers should provide flight number and mobile phone number. If customer is delayed (for example due to flight) and the pick-up (or drop off) goes out of business hours, customer is subject to the out of hours fee. In customer delays - which should inform SADORENT - the company holds the car until the next day (24h). No shows are subject to a one day rental charge. Car rental activity works with vehicle types (grouped characteristics). No specific car models and brands can be assured by SADORENT. Customer should drive careful and return the car in the same state as when received it - otherwise is subject to be charged. Waivers/equipment/extras prices may change without prior notice.

  •   Shuttle

    Thank you for choosing Economy rent a Car represented by SADORENT. The Meet&Greet Service at the airports is a SADORENT’s assistant holding a small billboard identifying the company that waits for the customer at the Airport Halls and/or at the Meeting Point within the same area and then, after preliminary reservations checking, is lead to a SADORENT shuttle vehicle (rental facilities are in the airport perimeter).
