The minimum age of rental is 21. Renters between 21 and 24 will be charged an UNDERAGE DRIVER FEE (UAGE) of $24.95 + taxes per day.

Economy Rent A Car requires a credit card to confirm your reservation. For non-prepaid reservations, Economy Rent A Car requires a credit card to confirm your reservation even though your credit card may not be charged at that time, however cancellations or no-show fees may apply. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before your scheduled pickup time or a no-show fee of $ 35.00 USD may be charged. See prepaid reservations for cancellation policy. Your credit card may not be charged at that time, cancellations or no-show fees may apply.

Customers who reside in the U.S., U.S. Territories, or Canada must present a valid, unexpired government-issued Driver’s license which includes a photograph of the customer. The driver's license must be valid for the entire rental period. If the driver licenses are not issued in the United State, They can present their home country driver’s license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph, and their passport, visa or other current U.S. issued documentation at the beginning of the rental authorizing the renter or driver to be present in the USA at the time of rental. Economy Rent A Car does not accept Expired Driver's Licenses The only exception to this practice is a renter that is Active Military, with an Active Military ID and a Driver's License issued from a state with a Military Extension. Customers traveling to the United States from another country must present the following: Their home country driver’s license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph. If the home country license is in a language other than English and the letters are latin-based (i.e. German, Spanish, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is recommended, but not required, for translation purposes in addition to the home country license. If the home country license is in a language other than English and the letters are not latin-based (i.e. Cyrillic, Chinese, Arabic, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is required. If an International Driver’s permit cannot be obtained in the home country, another professional, type-written translation may be substituted. In either case the home country license must also be presented. Photocopies of Driver’s Licenses are not accepted Learner’s Permits are not accepted. Digital licenses are not accepted. Temporary Driver’s Licenses may be refused and not accepted.

If the vehicle is returned prior to the return date stipulated on the rental agreement the daily T&M rate will increase by the extra day rate per day shown on the rental agreement, not to exceed the initial estimated total at the time of rental barring excess for gas and other incidentals not reflected in the rental agreement.

Vehicles must be returned with the same amount of fuel as received by the customer when it was rented to avoid a refueling service charge. The current price for refueling charges are noted on the rental agreement. If you desire to know more please contact our location for the current refueling service charge price. Renter will be responsible for all repair costs that are related to the usage of improper gasoline types.

Cars are not allowed to leave the state of Florida. If we are informed by the toll authorities or citations, that the vehicle has left the State of Florida, customers will be charged $1,000.00 USD and $0.50USD per mile plus all tolls.

All customers with Florida driver licenses are considered local renters. Local renters are subject to a mileage cap of 150 free miles per day and $0.25USD per mile in excess of the mileage cap. Local renters must have a valid major credit card and have current full coverage insurance that transfers to a rental vehicle with comprehensive collision and Liability with property and bodily injury coverage. LDW and SLI cannot be purchased by any local renter. Local renters are required to leave a minimum of $500.00 to $1,000.00USD deposit at time of rental depending on your insurance deductible however, if customers purchase our HIF (Handling Insurance Fee) and LOU (Loss of Use) they will be covered for their deductibles up to $1,000.00USD, and Loss of Use of the vehicle, the deposit will be $.01.USD

All rental fees, taxes, and charges at the time of rental, and all transactions are conducted in U.S. Dollars. All rental fees, taxes, and charges are due at pick-up. Economy Rent A Car accepts all major credit cards and debit cards from major banks, though certain restrictions may apply. Customers using a debit card must purchase our Partial Damage Waiver (PDW) for $10.95 per day plus taxes. This waiver covers up to $1,000 for damages, but does not include coverage for Glass and Tire Protection (GTP) or Loss of Use (LOU), and will reduce the security deposit to $0.01. We also accept Apple Pay, but please note that debit cards are not accepted from local renters. Economy Rent A Car does not accept cash, gift cards, prepaid cards, or online banking cards. The security deposit can be up to $1,000 (one thousand US dollars) if you choose to self-insure, based on the deductibles for collision and comprehensive coverage, and will be held on the renter’s card. If you prefer not to have a security deposit held, we offer an optional products to lower your deposit. Any changes to the rental agreement must be made in person at the Economy Rent A Car office.

If you have made a reservation you may pay on arrival however to make a reservation we will need a credit card to guarantee your vehicle. There may be an authorization on your Credit Card statement of USD$1.00 please be advised that a no show fee equivalent to a one day rental plus taxes with a minimum of USD$35.00 will be charged to the Credit Card. If vehicle is not pick up you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same website you made it, you cannot call or write to cancel you can cancel only through the website where the reservation was made at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. Prepaid reservations-if you have a prepaid reservation your Credit Card will be charged in full at the time you made your reservation. The Credit Card that you paid your reservation must be present at the time of pick up. Refund and cancellation policy-a prepaid reservation is a nonrefundable booking. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or credit. For customer satisfaction Economy will apply a refund for any of the reasons below-after verification- -flight cancelled and customer could not get to the rental location-natural disaster prevented travel- Illness prevented travel-death in family prevented travel-jury duty prevented travel-Economy was unable to fulfill the customer reservation (example no vehicle available) - Any action due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please be advised that there will be a charge of a handling fee for cancelling. If a customer chooses to change the date of their reservation the handling fee will be waived but may be subject to a rate adjustment. For date change please contact 1 877 326 7368. Please be advised we DO NOT ACCEPT COMMERCIAL INSURANCE POLICIES to rent a vehicle. For customers who reside outside of the United States HIF is required if plans to self insurance and LOU will be required if your insurance does not cover loss of use. Please note that customers renting the car for one day must provide their own insurance, including coverage for collision, comprehensive, liability and property damage. When you arrive though Terminal 1 baggage claim area proceeds to the car rental center via pedestrian crosswalk and follows signs for "Offsite Rental Car and County bus". Proceed to Bus Stop G and await our courtesy bus. From Terminal 2, 3 and 4: Please take the Airport shuttle to the Rental Car Center. Once there, please follow the signs for "Offsite Rental Car and County bus". Proceed to Bus Stop G and wait for our courtesy shuttle bus. For any further assistance please call (954) 684-9030. Important information: Please be advised that our cars are not allowed to be taken out of the state of Florida.

Please note that it is strictly prohibited to smoke in the rental vehicle. A penalty fee of $250.00USD will be charged for an odor removal service if you smoke in the vehicle or if the vehicle is returned with an odor due to smoking.

The Florida State Rental Car Surcharge which is the Florida State Rental Surcharge imposed by the state, $2.00USD per day, plus sales tax. Airport Fee: The airport fee is 10% of the Gross Receipts of the rental which is paid directly to the airport authorities. Sales Tax: Sales Tax: 7% PERCENT STATE OF FLORIDA SALES TAX ENERGY FEE $0.99USD PER DAY, plus sales tax, - LICENSE RECOVERY FEE $1.99USD PER DAY plus sales tax, - PORT RECOVERY FEE $3.95USD ONE TIME CHARGE, plus sales tax.

The purchase of CDW or LDW is optional and not required to rent a car if the renter can produce proof acceptable coverage. The protection provided by CDW or LDW may duplicate the renter's existing coverage. Please be advised that our agents are not qualified to evaluate the insurance coverage. The renter is responsible to verify his/her credit card coverage, automobile insurance policy or other sources of coverage that are provided to cover CDW or LDW, and whether benefits are transferable at the time of rental. All waivers will be voided if the terms of the rental agreement are violated. Please be advised that Economy Rent A Car in its discretion reserves the right to accept or refuse insurance coverage. Economy Rent a Car recommends customers purchase ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE (RSA), however please review if you have other coverages or protection for such services. ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE PROTECTION IS NOT INSURANCE. THE PURCHASE OF ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE PROTECTION IS OPTIONAL AND NOT REQUIRED IN ORDER TO RENT A VEHICLE. Economy Rent a Car will provide any renter who has purchased the optional Roadside Assistance Protection coverage with 24/7 breakdown assistance without any additional charge. It protects the renter from high service costs for the following incidents: 1) Key lockout service: If a renter experiences locking of the keys or key fob inside the vehicle during their rental period, Economy Rent a Car will cover the cost of a lockout service. Our Roadside will come to assist you and open the vehicle. 2) Flat tire service: If a renter experiences a flat tire during the rental period, Economy Rent a Car will cover the cost of assisting to replace the tire either by a 3rd party service provider. Damages caused to the tire will not be covered without the purchase of GTP (Glass and Tire Protection) 3) Dead Battery: If a renter experiences a situation during their rental period, Economy Rent a Car will cover the cost of jumpstart service, a 3rd party service provider, cost of delivering a new vehicle or towing of the vehicle to the nearest Economy Rent a Car location or providing with a new battery. 4) Breakdown caused by empty fuel tank: If a renter experiences a breakdown due to running out of fuel, Economy Rent a Car will cover the costs for breakdown assistance and fuel required to continue your trip. GPS: To allow Economy Rent A Car to locate your rental vehicle in case of emergency, accident, etc. some of our vehicles have tracking devices. Your location information will be confined to the company service, and will never impermissibly make your location or movements public. As part of our service, the location of your vehicle may be released to insurance companies, police, or similar parties in the course of an investigation and or accident claim and to provide assistance in an emergency. When deciding whether to purchase Roadside Assistance Protection, it is recommended renters check whether they have this coverage available through your personal auto insurance carrier or through a 3rd party carrier. All services may only be ordered by a direct claim with Economy Rent a Car 24-hour Roadside Protection. Economy Rent a Car will determine the type and extent of service required to ensure the renter stays mobile. If any damage to the rental vehicle occurs which is not covered by Economy Rent a Car within the scope of the Roadside Assistance Protection, the renter is liable for such damage. Roadside Assistance $5.95USD plus taxes per day.

If you drive under the influence of alcohol or under the effect of drugs, or use the rental vehicle in any other negligent or reckless way, or violate the conditions set out in the Rental Agreement, all applicable insurance covers, waiver, etc, will be deemed null and void and you will be fully responsible for all damage to the vehicle, as well as loss of use, damages to other vehicles and or injury to persons and any other related costs. Only authorized drivers registered on the Rental Agreement are allowed to drive the rental vehicle. Damages caused by unauthorized drivers are not covered. If an improper type of fuel is put in the vehicle, renter will be responsible for all repairs barring insurance. HIF, GPT, PDW, CDW or LDW will not cover in case of direct or indirect acts of God, including but not limited to flood, hurricane or lightning. Renter will have to cover all repair costs related to improper fuel usage.

You are responsible if the keys and fobs are lost or damaged and will be required to pay a penalty fee of up to $600.00USD (Depending on the type of vehicle). Please keep in mind that if you do not return the keys, and a copy of the police report to the company when the car is reported stolen, your insurance is deemed voided, and you may be held responsible for the full value of the vehicle.

You are responsible for the payment of any and all tolls incurred during the rental period. However, for your convenience, we offer Saver-Sunpass, an optional electronic toll payment service whereby all toll charges and any other toll-related fees you incur are covered during the rental period. Saver-Sunpass allows for quick by-pass of unmanned and manned toll booths; you wll cruise right through traffic. If you choose to take it, Saver-Sunpass must be accepted at the time of pickup and must be applied for the entire length of the rental. Saver-Sunpass service covers tolls incurred in Florida only. The current rates applicable to the Saver-Sunpassservice is $13.95USD per rental day, plus taxes. Customers with Sunpass Portable transponders may use their transponders in our rental vehicles at their own risk, as Sunpass does not acknowledge some devices, and in these cases, customers will be responsible for charges incurred. Economy Rent A Car always recommends the Saver-Sunpass pass when possible. Sunpass peel and stick products will not function in Economy Rent A Car vehicles. If you choose not to purchase the optional Saver-Sunpass service at the commencement of your rental, and you utilize a Toll Road, you will then be charged a $20.00USD admin fee for each batch plus the price of the toll and fees billed from the tolling authority. For each batch of toll violations received a maximum fee of up to $100.00USD during the term of the rental period. Saver-Sunpass does not cover red light camera violations or other moving violations drivers may incur. Saver-Sunpass service does not cover airport parking either. Child seat $14.95 per day + taxes GPS $14.95 per day + taxes. If a vehicle is returned without the Saver-SunPass transponder assigned to the rental agreement, a $40.00 charge will be incurred. This charge is implemented to cover the cost of replacing the missing transponder

If the vehicle is dropped off at another location other than the renting location there will be a drop off charge of up to $600.00USD.

We do not accept Commercial Insurance Policies if you plan to self-insure. Economy Rent a Car will only accept insurance policies from the United State and Canada that will transfer to a rental vehicle. We do accept personal insurance under the customer’s name provided that the customer submit evidence of transferable auto collision,comprehensive liability that includes bodily and property damage coverage. For Canadian Insurance coverage, declaration pages must be in English and show coverages that are valid in the United States if planning to self-insure, Quebec Canadian insurance must have the Q.E.F27 endorsement with their current vehicle insurance policy at the time of rental. All other Canadian policies must have the O.P.F27 endorsement stating civil liability resulting from damage caused to rental vehicles of which the insured is not the owner. HIF will be required for non-U.S. residents who self-insure, and LOU will be required if insurance does not cover loss of use. If proof of full coverage cannot be produced at the counter, the agent will assist you and call your insurance company. If Economy Rent A Car cannot verify insurance the customer will be required to purchase the appropriate coverage from Economy Rent A Car. If proof of the renter's coverage can be provided within 24 hours of pickup, any unused insurance will be refunded to the renter's credit card. Verification of pre-existing coverage must be conducted in writing at a Economy Rent A Car location. If rental is prepaid and a customer comes into the location, they can choose to cancel the reservation with a one-day penalty.

Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge of $13.75USD per day. If accepted, SLI provides the renter and authorized drivers with up to $300,000.00USD combined single limit for third party liability claims, including property and bodily injury and provides protection up to the applicable minimum financial responsibility limit and Zurich American Insurance Company provides excess third party liability insurance coverage for the applicable minimum financial responsibility minimum of $300,000.00USD. If the renter accepts SLI, Economy Rent A Car provides third party liability protection up to the applicable minimum financial responsibility limit and Zurich American Insurance Company provides excess third party liability insurance coverage from the applicable minimum financial responsibility limit to $300,000.00USD. This is a summary only. SLI, is subject to the terms, conditions, provisions, limitations, and exclusions in the supplemental rental liability insurance excess policy underwritten by Zurich American Insurance Company. Please be advised that our agents are not qualified to evaluate the renters insurance coverages; The renter is responsible to verify his/her automobile insurance policy that must provide transferable liability coverage. Economy Rent A Car does not accept Supplemental Liability Insurance purchased online or credit cards that offer Supplemental Liability Insurance. Please note that customers renting the car for one day must provide their own insurance, including coverage for collision, comprehensive, liability and property damage.

Customer grants and appoints to Economy Rent A Car a Limited Power of Attorney for the express purpose of: To present insurance claims of any type to customers insurance carrier and or credit card company under any of the following conditions: 1. If any time during the rental period of the vehicle from Economy Rent A Car, the vehicle is damaged, lost or stolen, and the customer refuses or fails to pay said damages; 2. All liability claims made against Economy Rent A Car arising or relating to the rental vehicle for which the customer fails to defend, indemnify and hold Economy Rent A Car harmless; 3. To endorse customers' names to permit Economy Rent A Car to receive insurance, credit card and or debit card payments directly for any such claims, damages, liabilities, or rental charges.

If your vehicle is kept longer than the return date shown on the rental agreement, the rate will increase by the extra day rate on the rental agreement, plus any extra products purchased, and sales tax. To extend the rental agreement, customers must contact the location. The increased rate will be charged for each day after the expected return date, until the vehicle is returned.

Glass and Tire Protection (GTP) is not insurance, it is an optional waiver to provide the renter or any authorized driver, to be covered for the damages to tires and glasses (including the windshield). GTP $5.95 + taxes per day.

Handling Insurance fee (HIF) is an optional waiver for renters that choose to self-insure. With the HIF renter will have a zero deductible up to $1,000.00USD. This will bring the security deposit to $0.01 USD. This is especially helpful if there is minor damage and dents. Also, in case of an accident and if it exceeds your deductible, we will bill your insurance company directly. HIF will be required for customers who do not reside in the United States. Local Renters restrictions apply. This coverage does not include tires, windshield, stolen or lost keys. If the renter declines the HIF a $1,000.00 USD deposit will be required. HIF $5.95+taxes per day.

Loss of Use (LOU) is an optional waiver which will cover the loss of use or time down on the vehicle in case of an accident. If the renter declines the waiver or your insurance company does not cover loss of use, the cost for compensations for lost revenue in the event of an accident or damage will be $35.00USD per day until the vehicle is repaired. For customers who reside outside of the United States and plan to self-insure, LOU will be required if your insurance does not cover loss of use. LOU $5.95USD+taxes per day.

Partial Damage Waiver. This covers the renter and/or additional drivers of financial responsibility up to $1,000.00 USD. This is especially helpful if there is minor damage and dents and also includes Roadside Assistance. This coverage does not include tires, windshield, stolen or lost keys, or LOU. PDW will be required when using a debit card, and will bring the security deposit to $0.01 USD. PDW $10.95+taxes per day.

CHOICE OF LAW. All terms and conditions of the rental agreement shall be interpreted, construed and enforced pursuant to the laws of the State of Florida where the rental agreement is executed by Renter without giving effect to the conflict of laws and/or provisions of such State.

Before asserting a claim in any proceeding (including, but not limited to, an individual arbitration or in a small claims proceeding), you agree to give Economy Rent A Car, written notice of the claim to be asserted thirty (30) days before initiating a proceeding and make a reasonably good faith effort to resolve the claim. If you are intending to assert a claim against Economy Rent A Car, you must send the written notice of the claim to Attention: Economy Rent A Car Legal Department, 111 SW 33 Street, Ft Lauderdale, FL 33315. NO SETTLEMENT DEMAND OR SETTLEMENT OFFER USED IN THIS PRE-DISPUTE RESOLUTION PROCESS MAY BE USED IN ANY PROCEEDING, INCLUDING AS EVIDENCE OR AS AN ADMISSION OF ANY LIABILITY OR DAMAGES (OR LACK THEREOF).

In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved informally through the pre-dispute resolution procedure, you agree and hereby irrevocably consent to either of the following proceedings selected by Saver LLC DBA Economy Rent a Car (A) BINDING ARBITRATION OR (B) A NON-JURY SMALL CLAIMS COURT CASE ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. CLASS ACTIONS ARE HEREBY STRICTLY PROHIBITED. All disputes between you and Saver LLC DBA Economy Rent a Car arising out of, relating to or in connection with your rental of a car from Saver LLC DBA Economy Rent a Car and these Terms and Conditions if settled through binding arbitration, shall be through the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") pursuant to the AAA’s then-current rules for commercial arbitration. This arbitration agreement is subject to the Federal Arbitration Act 9 U.S.C. By entering into this agreement, you agree to this arbitration provision, with the exception for claims for property damage, personal injury, or death. It is acknowledged that the Rental Agreement which is executed in and shall be construed and governed exclusively by and in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any legal and arbitration proceedings arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be brought and heard in Broward County, Florida.

If the renter is involved in an accident or an incident resulting in damage to the rental car or third-party property, a police report must be obtained and produced to Economy Rent A Car. If the customer does not produce this report, it will void any waiver of CDW or LDW taken, resulting in the renter being liable for all costs involved in the rental car and to third party property. Renter shall immediately report any accident to Economy Rent A Car, fill out an Incident/Report, and present the police report or claim that was given. Renter must deliver to Economy Rent A Car every process, pleading, notice, or written documentation of any kind received by Renter or any driver of the Vehicle relating to any claim, suit or proceeding connected with any accident, incident or event involving the vehicle. Whoever is driving the vehicle along with all authorized drivers must cooperate fully in suit or proceeding in any claim and with Economy Rent A Car and its insurer in investigating and defending the same.

Economy and its employees are not responsible for any claims for loss of, or damage to, your personal property or that of any other person, that we received, handled, or stored, or that was left or carried in or on the Vehicle or in any service vehicle or in our offices, whether or not the loss or damage was caused by our negligence or was otherwise our responsibility. We are not responsible in any way for items left by the client or third parties inside the vehicle.You will indemnify us, defend us, and hold us harmless from all claims, liability, costs, and attorney fees we incur resulting from, or arising out of, this rental and your use of the vehicle. We make no warranties, expressed, implied or apparent, regarding the Vehicle, no warranty of merchantability and no warranty that the Vehicle is fit for a particular purpose.

When you arrive at the rental office: • There is no need to go to the counter or kiosk. • Prepare to show the gate agent your reservation in the Skip The Counter app, your driver is license, and your credit card. • At the start time of your reservation chosen in the app, you will be assigned a license plate number. You can find the vehicle in our parking lot. • The keys are in the vehicle. Unlock the doors with the app, drive to the exit gate, and enjoy the service. This optional service is offered at certain offices. Please check if your office offers this service.
