  Additional Drivers

All drivers must meet our minimum age requirements and present a valid photo driver's license. All location policies that apply to the renter will also apply. Additional driver fee: $9.95/day per driver. Maximum 3 additional drivers.


Renter must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and major credit card in his/her own name. Renters 18 through 24 years of age may rent a vehicle with an additional $14.95 per day surcharge. Underage surcharge will not appear in the total pricing on the reservation.

  Deposit Rules

Every rental agreement requires a credit card pre-authorization to start the rental.

  Drivers License

Drivers must have a valid full class 5 driver's license at the time of rental. The drivers license must be valid for the entire rental period. International renters require a driver's license in English or French, or an International Drivers license.

  Early Return

Vehicles are rented on a daily (24 hour) basis. Any rental of less than 24 hours will be charged a full days rate.

Vehicle is rented with a full tank. You may return the rental full to avoid a charge or we will refuel the vehicle based on the kilometers driven or level of the tank. A refueling service fee will apply per liter. Refueling Fee: $2.49/liter


Unlimited mileage, with a max of 3000km per rental. Then we will charge .28 cents per extra km over on FPAR and SFAR, and .25 cents on everything else.


In the event of a no-show the customer will be charged a no-show fee.


One way rentals are only permitted between U-Drive Car Rental locations. The one way rental fee varies, depending upon what location vehicle is returned to.


The renter is responsible for paying all parking and traffic violations incurred while using the rental vehicle plus an administration fee of $35 per occurrence. These items will be billed directly to the Credit Card used for the pre-authorization.


If the vehicle is not returned on the date and time agreed upon at the time of reservation, all special rates and weekend rates will be charged at regular rate with an additional surcharge.


The following methods of payment are accepted for full payment at return of rental: VISA, MasterCard and American Express.

  Prepaid Reservations

If you have made a reservation you may pay on arrival however to make a reservation we will need a credit card to guarantee your vehicle. There may be an authorization on your Credit Card statement of USD$1.00 please be advised that a no show fee equivalent to a one day rental plus taxes with a minimum of USD$35.00 will be charged to the Credit Card. If vehicle is not pick up you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same website you made it, you cannot call or write to cancel you can cancel only through the website where the reservation was made at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. Prepaid reservations-if you have a prepaid reservation your Credit Card will be charged in full at the time you made your reservation. The Credit Card that you paid your reservation must be present at the time of pick up. Refund and cancellation policy-a prepaid reservation is a nonrefundable booking. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or credit. For customer satisfaction Economy will apply a refund for any of the reasons below-after verification- -flight cancelled and customer could not get to the rental location-natural disaster prevented travel- Illness prevented travel-death in family prevented travel-jury duty prevented travel-Economy was unable to fulfill the customer reservation (example no vehicle available) - Any action due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please be advised that there will be a charge of a handling fee for cancelling. If a customer chooses to change the date of their reservation the handling fee will be waived but may be subject to a rate adjustment. For date change please contact 1 877 326 7368.   Reservation hold time

Vehicles are held for 1-hour after the reserved arrival time. In the event of any delays you may call or email us to advise of any changes in your pick up time. After the 1 hour window you will be considered a no-show and we may or may not be able to honor your reservation, depending on availability.

All vehicles are non-smoking. If evidence of ashes or smoke smell is detected, renter will be charged for a shampoo fee up to $250.00.


Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) $21.95/day for a $500.00 deductible. If LDW is declined, renter is responsible for the Full Value of any damages plus downtime. LDW does not cover damage to vehicle tires and/or wheels, damage to glass, for lost, damaged or stolen keys/remote entry devices, towing or tire services unless related to an accident.
