  •   Additional Drivers

    No additional driver charge, maximum of 3 additional drivers.

  •   Age

    Drivers must be 25 year(s) old. Minimum driving age is 21 years underage daily fee will apply.

  •   Business Hours

    The office is open from 5am until 12am, 7 days a week .

  •   Cancellation

    All cancelations must be done at the source of your reservation within 48 hour of the pick-up date or a prevailing 1-day rate will apply. Bookings processed and canceled within 48 hours of pick up time will be subject to a minimum one-day rental charge.

  •   CDW

    C.D.W - COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER * - IS AN OPTIONAL PRODUCT, IT IS A WAIVER OF ECONOMY RENT A CAR RIGHT TO COLLECT FROM THE RENTER FOR DAMAGES CAUSED TO THE RENTAL VEHICLE. ALL WAIVERS WILL BE VOID IF THE TERMS OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT ARE VIOLATED. ALL OF THE PRODUCTS OR WAIVERS LISTED WILL BECOME NULL AND VOID IN THE EVENT OF NEGLIGENCE WHILE DRIVING OR WHILE IN POSSESSION OF THE RENTAL VEHICLE SUCH AS DRIVING THE VEHICLE ACROSS BEACHES, RIVERS, ETC, OR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF LIQUOR, DRUGS OR ANY OTHER SUBSTANCE THAT COULD IMPAIR THE DRIVERS ABILITY TO OPERATE THE VEHICLE. OTHER NEGLIGENT ACTS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, LEAVING THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION WITH THE VEHICLE UNATTENDED, FALLING ASLEEP WHILE DRIVING, IGNORING TRAFFIC SIGNALS OR POLICE OFFICERS. ¿ WRITTEN PROOF-- IF RENTER WISHES TO DECLINE C.D.W. COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER AND RELY ON THEIR OWN PERSONAL INSURANCE, THE RENTER MUST PROVIDE WRITTEN PROOF FROM THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY, SPECIFICALLY STATING COVERAGE IS EFFECTIVE AND ENFORCED FOR THE DURATION OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT.

  •   Deposit Rules

    -Pay on Arrival- Credit Card Secure deposit for estimated rental charges only. Always reconfirm return date/time. Debit Card Confirm round trip flight itinerary, Secure deposit for estimated rental charges plus 200USD deposit. Always reconfirm return date/time. -Prepaid Vouchers- Credit Card - Authorize 1.00USD only if no extra charges. Take payment for additional services – LDW, up sell, PPG, etc. No added security deposit is required. -Debit Card- Secure 200.00USD deposit only if no added services. Take payment for additional services – LDW, up sell, PPG, etc + $200 deposit. Confirm round trip flight itinerary. –Locals- Debit Card not allowed 200.00USD deposit plus estimated amount of rental. Verify address by confirming utility bill/pay stub or alternate valid ID. Proof of insurance is not required to rent. -International Customers- Confirm round trip flight itinerary. No mandatory purchase of optional coverage allowed.

  •   Drivers License

    DRIVERS MUST BE 25 YEARS OR OLDER ¿ (ANY ADDITIONAL DRIVER MUST BE 21 OR OLDER), ADDITONAL UNDER AGE CHARGES WILL APPLY. DRIVERS LICENSE - RENTER MUST PRESENT A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AT THE TIME OF RENTAL. FOREIGN RENTERS MUST PRESENT A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND A VALID PASSPORT.

  •   Equipment

    EconomyCar Rental offers a variety of optional protection products such as personal property insurance, GPS, child seats, roadside assistance and so much more. Please ask for details.

  •   Gas

    Gas - vehicle must be returned with same amount of fuel as rented to avoid a refueling service charge. Renter has an option to pre- pay for a full tank.

  •   Geographic

    Geographic - vehicles are only allowed within the boundaries of southern California. If rental vehicles are driven out side these boundaries, then it will be considered negligence and a penalty charge will apply per rental agreement terms. Other areas allowed. Please call us for information.

  •   Insurance

    THIRD PARTY LIABILITY INSURANCE TPLI IS MANDATORY THE RENTER MUST PROVIDE WRITTEN EVIDENCE OF A VALID AND ENFORCED TPLI TO ECONOMY RENT A CAR ON RENTAL DAY COVERAGE MUST BE EFFECTIVE IN THE USA FOR THE DURATION OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT IF RENTER CANNOT PROVIDE TPLI THEN ECONOMY RENT A CAR WILL PROVIDE ONE AT A COST

  •   Mileage

    Unlimited Mileage for customers arriving from airport with return ticket. Local customers 250 miles per day up to 2000 miles per month. Call us for other options.

  •   One-Way

    One way is not offered at this time.

  •   Other

    Grace period: 1 hours For late returns, we will charge a whole new rental day. Applicable for all car groups. Additional charges may also be applied.

  •   Payment

    We currently accept all major bank issued credit cards. We also accept bank issued Debit cards. Payment required Credit card ¿ USD 300 authorization Debit card ¿ USD 800 authorization If rental agreement is over USD 300.00 then we also require full payment of the rental amount.

  •   Prepaid Reservations

    If you have made a reservation you may pay on arrival however to make a reservation we will need a credit card to guarantee your vehicle. There may be an authorization on your Credit Card statement of USD$1.00 please be advised that a no show fee equivalent to a one day rental plus taxes with a minimum of USD$35.00 will be charged to the Credit Card. If vehicle is not pick up you can avoid this fee by cancelling your reservation through the same website you made it, you cannot call or write to cancel you can cancel only through the website where the reservation was made at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled rental time. Prepaid reservations-if you have a prepaid reservation your Credit Card will be charged in full at the time you made your reservation. The Credit Card that you paid your reservation must be present at the time of pick up. Refund and cancellation policy-a prepaid reservation is a nonrefundable booking. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will not be modified. If you do not pick up your rental when scheduled your reservation will be cancelled and you will not receive a refund or credit. For customer satisfaction Economy will apply a refund for any of the reasons below-after verification- -flight cancelled and customer could not get to the rental location-natural disaster prevented travel- Illness prevented travel-death in family prevented travel-jury duty prevented travel-Economy was unable to fulfill the customer reservation (example no vehicle available) - Any action due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please be advised that there may be a charge of up to USD$50.00 handling fee for canceling. If customer chooses to change the date of their reservation the handling fee will be waived but may be subject to a rate adjustment. For date change please contact 1 877 326 7368.   •   Rules

    By renting a vehicle from Economy Rent A Car and Economy Rent A Car affiliates, you hereby agree that any and all disputes and controversies arising out of your reservations and your rental of the vehicle shall be resolved solely and exclusively by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association.
